Utah Trip

The boys and I were able to make it up to Utah this summer for a little visit. It was nice being able to see my parents and Jaren and Jonas. During our trip we went to the Hill Air Force Museam and The Lake. For me personally the Lake was the best part. I have been dieing to go skiing. I think it has been almost ten years since I water skied last. It was so much fun. It did take my body a couple of times to remember how to do it again though. But after that all I had to worry about was my sore muscles. Jon really enjoyed it as well. He loved riding on the boat and watching mommy fall down and of course he tells everyone how I fell down. Thank you mom and dad for taking us out. We love you.

This is me skiing.

This is Jaren. The wakeboards bindings needed to be fixed so Jaren and Jonas had to use the skis.

Jonas did get up for the first time single skiing though. But of course I had to put one of his wipping out as well. Sorry Jonas.

Jon and I tubbing. For the most part Jon liked it.

The Fire

During our trip to Utah a fire broke out on the mountain right outside my parents back door. Of course I called Jason right away to talk about it and I had to take pictures to add to our fire photo albums. I think this will be the only set in there though that I was the one taking the pictures. It was an exciting night. Buy the time they got it put out it ended being about 574 feet away. Luckily we did not have to evacuate. The firefighters on the job did a wonderful job protecting the homes. It was actually kind of fun to watch the whole process though. I usually just get the hear all of Jason's stories.

When it first broke out they had plains dropping fire retardant. I will tell you one thing it is amazing where some of those pilots can fly to drop the retardant. There were so many power lines around I didn't think they would be able to pull up in time. It definitely takes guts and talent.

This was at night. It lit up the whole sky. It was actually really pretty. The next morning a helicopter was there dropping water.

This is also a picture the next morning when it had made it all the way down the mountain.

My dad and Jon looking at the fire with there (as Jon would say) "knockers".

The Circus

My friend Emily was able to get us some really good tickets to the circus this year. We were right down in the front. Thank you Emily.

From the time that we walked into the arena Jon was just amazed. He loved seeing the elephants and tigers performe the most though. It is all he talks about still. Here are just a few pictures of the night. Oh and Thanks Katie for coming with us. That is all Jon talks about as well.

I think Jared is practicing to be a clown.

Jon clapping and in Ahh.

The high wire act. It is amazing what these performers can do.

Jon vacuming

Jon used to be so scared of the vacuum. But then one day he decided to help Grandma Kraling vacuum and now he is not scared anymore. So of course I had to take a picture. Thank you Grandma.

Fourth of July

This year for the Fourth of July and my 30th birthday we had a few friends over to Mike and Martha's house to help us celebrate. Thank you to all that helped us celebrate. You made it a wonderful day. And thank you to those who called and sent cards as well. I really appreciated it.

Jon's friend Sean and a few neighbor boys (Logan and Jacob) came over as well. The boys had alot of fun squirting everyone with the water guns and then had a water balloon fight. It was so cute to watch.

My two handsome firecrackers.

Sean and Jon with there squirt guns. I think they thought the PVC pipe would block them from getting shot.

The water balloon fight. The boys were so excited to do this they could hardly contain themselves.

Jason and I after he got home from work. Anytime he is able to be home for my birthday I am very thankful. Thank you Jason for being so wonderful and for helping to make the day so great.

Jon's first swim lesson

I decided to enroll Jon in a two week swim class this year.He had alot of fun and did really good. I think he was probably the oldest one in the class. As you can see I was able to do the lesson with him. It was a great time for the both of us. Jared didn't really like it though because he had to go to the YMCA day care. Jared did really good the first week, but was a pill the second week. I am so glad that I enrolled Jon though because now he is not scared of the water at all and has become quite the little fish.

I promise Jon is not picking his nose.

Del-Mar Fair

We got some free tickets to the Del-mar Fair (from a wonderful woman named Nada) and Katie the boys and I were able to enjoy them. (Jason and Tim were both working) I am so thankful that Katie went with us to. She took Jon on the rides I couldn't because I was watching Jared. Thank you for going with us Katie. Jon had alot of fun with you.

Jon and Katie on the bumper cars.

Jon throwing the ping pon balls into the bowls. He actually did really good. Better than I have ever done.

Jon and Katie on the water ride. You can barely see Jon right in front of Katie. I was a little worried on how Jon would do, but Katie said he loved it.
